Decidimos is the app the indigenous communities of Potosí use to decide how their share of the Salar de Uyuni lithium project is spent: 15 % of the private partner’s profits, US$53.9 million a year. Together with direct infrastructure investments, that comes to US$4.4 billion over 45 years. US$6.3 million a year is paid directly to people, every month, in stablecoins such as USDT and USDC, into their own wallet in the app. Payments start in Río Grande and Nor Lípez and later extend to all 861,292 people of the department. The communities decide the rest by vote: signed and secret votes, public results, traceable accounts.
